Below are some of the most frequently asked questions we receive. If you still have further questions after reading through our list please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Q. Do you provide parking at the clubhouse?
A.Yes, we have 2 car parks available adjacent to the Clubhouse and just off the Kinross High Street, both of which may be used by visiting golfers

Q. What are the opening hours of the pro-shop?
A. Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 6:30pm and Weekends: 7:00am – 6:00pm

Q. Are visitors allowed to use the Clubhouse changing and catering facilities?
A. Yes. The clubhouse is owned by Kinross Golf Club and there is an agreement in place between the Club and Kinross Golf Courses / The Green Hotel whereby visitors and residents are welcome to use all of the facilities with the exception of the Members’ area of the changing room and the small Members’ Bar.

Q. Is there a dress code for the golf course?
A. Dress is smart, casual i.e.:
No Sports Shorts
No jeans cut off at the knee
No Football/Rugby Jerseys
No Shell or Track Suits or Pants thereof
No Tee-shirts without collars

Q. Is catering at the hotel or clubhouse?
A. There are a variety of catering options available at both The Green Hotel (Jock’s Bar / Basil’s Restaurant) & The Windlestrae Hotel (Rushes Bar / Fairway Restaurant) as well as the clubhouse.

Q. Should I organise my party’s catering in the clubhouse at the same time as booking the tee times?
A. Yes, if you are intending to use the clubhouse as it is owned and operated completely independently from The Green Hotel by Kinross Golf Club and it is advisable to send in a completed catering form (download from the website) along with your deposit and we will pass it on to the caterers.

Q. Do I require a handicap certificate to play?
A. No, handicap certificates are not required

Q. I am a beginner golfer. Which course would you recommend?
A. The Bruce

Q. What happens if I have booked and paid for a tee time and it is raining?
A. You are only entitled to receive your money back if the courses are forced to be closed due to the weather.

Q.Do I receive a discount if I am staying at either The Green Hotel or The Windlestrae Hotel?
A. Yes, all residents in both hotels receive discounts (ranging from 25% - 50% depending on the time of year) on standard visitor green fees on both courses.

Q. Do you participate in any Green Fee Discount Schemes?
A. Yes, the Kinross Golf Courses are signed up to both the First in Fife Golfpass  and the Perthshire Green Card
